Muslims across the Bono East Region has begun the observation of the Islamic Ramadan pillar with a call on Ghanaians to continue with the observation of the Covid-19 protocols as it was the surest way to fight and eradicate the pandemic

Ramadan form part of the Islamic pillars that mandate Islamic worshipers to fast for 30 days and seek for forgiveness from Allah their maker, during this period Muslims are said to stay without food and water as it is believed that it allows them to get closer to Allah and seek for their heart desires

Alhaji Musah Abdulai Bono East Regional Chief Imam speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Techiman, the regional capital confirmed the fasting period and said Allah asked Mohammed the founder of the Islamic region to fast during this time of the year and seek for forgiveness.

Alhaji Abdulai noted that Allah duals in a healthy soul and body and that continue to observing the Covid-19 protocols such as social distance, regular washing and sanitizing of hands, and wearing of face mask would keep one safe from contracting the virus and prepares the body wealthily for Allah.

“If we as Muslims are able to take all these measures to keep our souls and bodies healthy Allah would be comfortable to stay close to us and direct us to do what is expected of us so as not to depart from his ways to face punishment in judgment day”, he stressed

He mentioned that Allah order Muslims to obey Mohammed his messenger and so it was Godly to obey President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo who is Godly chosen by God to lead Ghana, indeed to avoid the wrath of Allah there is the need to obey and observe the protocols rolled out by the health experts in fighting the virus.

Alhaji Abdulai reminded Muslims to use the period to forgive one another and renew relationships that would build strong societies for the purpose of continuing the human race to fulfill Allah’s reasons for creation.

He called on Muslims to exhibit the fear of Allah, see Allah as the creator of all things because it could be that the Coronavirus pandemic was a sign from Allah to tell his creation especially humans that he can make and unmake.
