Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has urged the youth to vote massively for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC come December 7.

According to her, John Mahama is poised to address the teeming unemployment situation in Ghana if elected on December 7.

Speaking on a campaign tour in the Greater Accra region, she said, the NDC is determined to eradicate unemployment through its 1million job creation policy.

"The NDC manifesto is largely for the youth. The youth remains the future of this country, as such the NDC intends to provide sustainable jobs for the youth of this country through the 1million job creation policy."

Prof. Naana reiterated the NDC's commitment to serving the interest of the youth; adding that a vote for John Mahama and the NDC come December 7, will create jobs for the youth.

The people's manifesto of the NDC has promised to create 1million jobs in the next fours of its government for the youth.

As part of the policy, the NDC intends to expand Technical Vocational and Education Training (TVET); free apprenticeship program with monthly stipends and setting up businesses for beneficiaries upon completion.

Also, the next NDC government will finance the tuition of technical and vocational training students from 2nd cycle to the tertiary (Polytechnic University) level.

The NDC also intends to roll out what it calls the Big Push, a $10 billion investment in infrastructure development across the country to close the infrastructure deficit facing the nation.

In addition, the NDC says it will recruit 800,000 youth into the police service to beef up the police to civilian ratio when elected come December 7.
