Health Ridge: Health Supervisors Satisfied With The Quality Of Care At Greater Accra Regional Hospital

A combined team from the Headquarters of the Ghana Health Service and the Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate has concluded a second round of Supportive Supervision exercise at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ridge (GARH) on Thursday, July 30th, 2020 and are satisfied with the progress of work at the facility.

They were divided into five groups with two members each and they visited various departments and Units for the assessment exercise.

At the end of the exercise, the team was satisfied with what they observed, the various processes, Management Systems, and the implementation status of the previous action plans created.

They were also impressed with the COVID-19 response systems put in place by the Management of the Hospital.

However, Action plans have been drawn to address the few gaps noted. The Hospital Management thanked the team and also expressed its profound gratitude to the hard-working and dedicated staff of the hospital.

The visit was to review data, assess action plans generated as well as measures instituted to close gaps that were found during the first visit in 2019.

The team looked at the following thematic areas:

👉Management Systems

👉Clinical Care Services

👉Public Health Services

👉Maternal and Child Health Services

👉Monitoring and Evaluation Systems (Health Information).

The leader of the team Mrs. Sarah Amissah Bamfo (Deputy Director Of Clinical Care Services at the Regional Health Directorate) indicated that follow up visits will be carried out frequently to ensure that the Hospital systems continue to maintain the high standards observed.

The Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Emmaunel Srofenyoh promised to continuously improve on the services of the facility for the benefit of the general public.
