The management of the Windows of Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization in the Ashanti Region has supported the Kumasi Muslim cemetery with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth Ghc4,000 in support of the fight against covid-19 spread.

The items include 20 pairs of safety-boots, 5 Veronica buckets, 5 dustbins, 24 packs of tissue papers, gallons of liquid disinfectants, 14 pairs of hand gloves, 300 pairs of disposable gloves, 26 pieces of face shields and 26 masks among many others.

The donation came after the organization observed gravediggers at the cemetery were not having protective equipment to prevent the possible infection of the novel coronavirus.

"We express our hearty thank-you to the sole financier of the donation, Alhaji Habib Muttawakle Jarah, the Ashanti Regional Dandi tribe chief," Umar Harris, the Executive Director of the Foundation said.
