Desmond Bress-Biney (Nana Akuoko) is a Graphic Designer, Events Organiser, and a Social Commentator and an Advocate on Employment Issues in Ghana. He has worked directly with some prominent Ghanaians including Dr. Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills (former First Lady of Ghana) as co-judge for the African Centre for Economic Transformation (ACET) program on Formal and Informal City Dialogue sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, Prof. George Nii Boi Ayittey, former Economics Lecturer at the American University, Washington and the president of the Free Africa Foundation, Ambassador Aggrey-Orleans, former Clerk at the Parliament of Ghana, Mr. Affail Monney, President, Ghana Journalist Association (GJA), Mr. G.B.K. Owusu, former Public Relations Officer at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and many others

Bress-Biney was among the youth leaders in Ghana that met to discuss ways to finding a lasting solution to youth unemployment with the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

As a social commentator and an employment advocate, Bress-Biney has appeared on (in) several media platforms including British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Thomas Reuters, Joy Fm, Star FM, GBC-Radio Ghana, Radio Universe, Radio XYZ, Citi FM, Rainbow FM, Choice FM (now Kasapa FM), Adinkra FM, Ark FM, Adom FM, Sena Radio, Ahomka FM, Live FM, Atinka FM, Radio Gold, Kapital Radio, Ultimate Radio, Hot FM, Amansan TV, E-TV, BTA TV, Vaisat TV, Happy FM, Oman FM, Peace FM, Okay FM, and many other print and online platforms including ghanaweb.com , modernghana.com , spyghana.com , myjoyonline.com , peacefmonline.com , adomfmonline.com , daily Guide, Daily Graphic, Ghanaian Times and many others.

He also served on several committees and key among them includes the National Youth Authority (NYA) committee that looked at the final stage of the National Youth Policy, the Youth Manifesto Board by Youth Empowerment Synergy (YES), African Centre for Economic Transformation (ACET) committee on the FORMAL AND INFORMAL CITY DIALOGUE, Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) committee that drafted the Peace Communiqué ahead of the 2012 General Elections in Ghana at Akosombo, University of Professional Studies (UPS), Accra Fundraising Committee for the 2011 SRC Week Celebrations.

As an event organiser, he in collaboration with the University of Professional Studies, Accra organised two major events; “Election 2012-the Role of the Youth” and “The Role of Tertiary Institutions as a strategic partner in the Discovery of Ghana’s Oil and Gas” which attracted prominent Ghanaians including Hon.
