Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, better known as Medikal, has been scapegoated following Twitter's new owner, Elon Musk's, warning to permanently suspend parody accounts.

"Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying "parody" will be permanently suspended," Mr. Musk issued the caution via a tweet on Sunday, November 6.

The rapper’s account has been suspended permanently for impersonating Ghana’s President, H.E. Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.

In order to top trend over the President's popular comment "sika mpe dede" the hitmaker changed his account name to "Mr. President," with a picture of the President as his profile picture.

Medikal had over 340,000 followers and followed 638 different accounts.

It is believed that the account was suspended after a netizen with the handle, Beno Sarkcess, reported it to the Twitter owner in a tweet: "Hi Elon Musk, kindly check Amg Medikal's account. He's trying to impersonate the president of Ghana."
