Duke Banson Is Not My Type Of Man - AK Songstress Claims

Dancehall artiste AK Songstress has denied having a clandestine love affair with her manager, Duke Banson, who she said is not her type of man.

AK, who was speaking on Hitz FM on Monday, said her manager is a married man with a beautiful wife, who is also a former dancer.

According to her, she has never dated him and neither is she hoping to date him in the future because she does not “do married men”.

“My manager is a married man. I know his family. I mean we are family. I am not having an affair with my manager. I am not denying it because it is not true. I don't have any romantic or sexual relationship with my manager. He is not my type because I don't do married men,” she revealed.

There have been long rumours of the two having an affair. Duke, who is the CEO of Paradise Entertainment, known for managing artistes like VIP, 4×4 and others, earlier debunked the rumours and described AK Songstress as a family.

“…We have been family. Her dad is my best friend, her mom is my sweetheart, my kids spend time with her and she sometimes picks them up from school,” he told Pluzz FM in 2015.

AK, who is currently promoting her song titled '37', said, “Of course, that's a rumour. It is normal to think that female has something to do with her male manager or a friend. Mr Banson's wife is a very beautiful young woman. She was a dancer. She knows what's up. She is beautiful woman. She has nothing to worry about and she is not insecure.”

Meanwhile, the CEO of Bullhaus Entertainment, Bulldog, in a recent radio discussion revealed that managers must establish sexual relationships with their female artistes if they want to succeed.

But AK Songstress shared a contrary opinion, reiterating that “it is not good because he is going to be very very protective and jealous and that can bring you back.”
