The church is diversifying when it comes to entertainment and though Christian drama is not a new thing, big productions that can compete with Uncle Ebo Whyte's Roverman Productions are rare. That is why some of us are in awe looking back at the exploits of Lynckun Productions, and their latest piece, "Deceptive" scheduled for December 17 at the Victory Bible Church, Prophetic Sanctuary inside Kokomlemle is an affirmation of the big things to come.

Here's more insight if you are hearing of this for the very first time; Lynckun Productions is an initiative of Veralyn Ackun, a gifted young Christian woman who's on a mission to redefine entertainment in the church and create contents that bible believers can easily relate to.

When asked what inspired her to venture into Christian drama, she said;

"I enjoy doing what God gifted me with and secondly, Ghanaians don't read as much as they watch stuff and everything that is available out there for a Ghanaian Christians to watch is secular and we want them to watch something biblical so why don't we have biblical entertainment as well? That is why I'm using my talent to teach or educate and at the same time entertain Christian believers."

She disclosed in an exclusive interview.
She went further to point out the tension that immediately engulfs Christian homes when romantic scenes pop up in secular movies.

According to Miss Ackun, secular movies make it seem as if one must always give in to lust and fornication whereas the a bible character like Joseph proves otherwise but since people are not fond of reading bibles these days, it is only prudent to enact some of these stories in a way that is relevant to us today.

Speaking on how journey has been over the years she revealed that it has not been easy.

"Finding casts who are Christians, understand the calling and are passionate about what they are doing has been tough but God has been good. Also, publicity has been a major hurdle and I've realised that getting believers to patronise Christian events is harder than getting these same Christians for secular shows"

"Deceptive" focuses on relationships and some deceptions that go on before, during and after marriage. A lot of people pretend to be people they are not just to get that gold ring on the finger and reveal their true colours afterwards. This stage play is an eye opener. Relationship tricks and schemes will be exposed and do make sure to carry spare ribs. You will need them.

Other stage plays by Lynckun Productions include Church Dating 101, Waiting on Him For him, Outspoken, "I do, what now?" and several others.

This is their third production commercially and patrons are promised nothing but the best.
