Veteran Ghanaian highlife artist, Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko, popularly known as Obrafour has registered his displeasure about songs made to mourn people who have passed on.

The 'Rap Sofo' described tribute songs as unnecessary and time wasting.

“I do not want to do songs that won’t last. Why don’t we do songs to celebrate people whiles they are alive? It is unnecessary. It is a waste of time and energy,” he told Moses Aluebasi (Alligator the Captain) on Storm FM’s Mid-Morning Show.

Obrafour further stated that nobody will play tribute songs after the person has been buried.

Obrafour who dreamt of becoming a lawyer started singing with his late

mum at the age of eight (8) at church.
