There was no winner in Morocco's friendly against Libya as they drew 1-1 on Friday evening in Oujda.

Without superstar Hakim Ziyech, injured with Dutch club Ajax, the Atlas Lions started their high pressing relying long ball toward forward Youssef Ennesiry.

In the 20th minute, the Moroccans took the lead through defender Jawad El Yamiq, who headed home from a corner kick by Faycal Fajr.

After the goal, the Libyans started to win duels and pushed forward. Three minutes before the break, Sanad El Warfali, who plays for Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic, took advantage of goalmouth action to slot home the equalizer.

There were a few chances for either side in the second half but did not affect the scoreline.

In his first three matches in charge, Vahid Halilhodžić has guided the Atlas Lions defeated Niger 1-0, and draws against Burkina Faso and Libya.

Morocco are expected to play Gabon in another friendly on 15 October in Tangiers.
