No Pressure On Hearts To Beat WAFA – Opare Addo

Communications Director for Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Larbi Addo has indicated there is no pressure on the Phobians to beat West African Football Academy (WAFA) when they play them on Sunday in the Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition.

The Accra based side will be battling the Sogakope side this weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium and will have a chance to revenge that narrow 3-2 defeat they suffered in the first round of the NC Special Competition.

Speaking to Class FM in a preview to the crucial game, Opare Addo disclosed that their aim is to play each match as they come and they are under no pressure to beat the Academy boys on Sunday even though it will see them move to the top of the Premier B table.

“There is no pressure at all. Our aim is to take it match after match. We are not winning and praying that we are going to be on top of the league table or that is going to earn you the right to first or the right to be second. What we are doing now is that we have to win and then make sure that subsequent matches we continue to win and at the end of it all, it is the number of points that we will be able to accumulate that will get us to the promised land. Meaning we will qualify to the next round”, he said.

He further shared that their match week 9 opponents will not come easy and they are going to prepare very well to ensure they pick up all 3 maximum points at the end of the day.

“We know WAFA will not come easy. We know we have to prepare very well and make sure that on the day we will be able to take out chances and approach the game with all the seriousness and all the focus that it desires so that we will be able to pick the maximum 3 points”, Opare Addo shared.

The match will kick off at 15:00GMT.
