Manny Pacquiao may be training for an upcoming fight with one brash American -- but the Filipino legend still couldn't resist a dig at another.

Pacquiao, now 40, defends his WBA welterweight title against Adrien Broner in Las Vegas on January 19.

Ahead of the MGM Grand showdown, the eight-weight world champion took part in a public workout with Freddie Roach at Hollywood's Wild Card gym.

Pac Man worked the pads with his long-time coach and then hit out at Floyd Mayweather, his former rival who recently returned to the ring.

'Money' and Pacquiao shared the richest fight of all time in 2015 and last month the American earned $9million for an exhibition fight against Tenshin Nasukawa, which he won inside the first round.

"I won't do that. If I'm Floyd I wouldn't do that," Pacquiao said on Wednesday, just days after seeing Mayweather at a Los Angeles Clippers basketball game.

"An exhibition match where you just knock him out. That's not good for the fans."

Pacquiao himself scored a first knockout in six years when he stopped Lucas Matthysse in seven rounds to win the WBA crown in July.

He is odds-on to secure a 61st career win in his 70th professional fight against Broner, who has been found himself trouble out of the ring over the last few years.

But Pacquiao is refusing to look beyond the controversial American.

"At the age of 40, it's hard to think about future fights," he said. "Just one at a time."
