Dr. Kwaku Frimpong Calls On Hearts And Kotoko Supporters To Join AshGold

Majority shareholder for Obuasi Ashanti Gold, Dr Kwaku Frimpong has called on all Hearts of Oak and Kotoko supporters who are fed up with their respective clubs to move to the Obuasi based club to be baptized and ushered into the Miners family.

The business guru disclosed this in a post-match interview after Ashanti Gold defeated Asante Kotoko on Sunday by three goals to two at the Len Clay Stadium.

Shafui Mumuni bagged a brace as Richard Djodji found the back of the net for the Obuasi based club. Obed Owusu and poster boy Sogne Yacouba got the consolation goals for the Porcupine Warriors.

A happy Dr Kwaku Frimpong was full of praise to God for guiding his team to victory over their regional rivals. He was however not very impressed with the performance of the team as he preferred they won the match by a bigger goal margin.

He has also urged lovers of football to troop to stadia whenever there is a match going on. He opines that football is in its reformation stage and they are doing things differently and better now.

He further welcomed a third match with the Porcupine Warriors to decide the winner of the “Golden Clash” which as it stands now ended five all on aggregates. He relishes playing the decider at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and beating Kotoko after failing to do so in the first leg of the encounter.
