Legendary boxing referee from U.S.A, Tony Weeks has toured Cape Coast Castle on Sunday.
Weeks who officiated the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) world title eliminator between Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe and Javier Chacon of Argentina and the WBO international super bantamweight title challenge last Saturday at the Bukom Boxing Arena took a time of his eventful agenda to visit the famous old Cape Coast Castle.
The trip, organized by Rising Star Africa Promotions was to make him remember history and for the American after touring the Cape Coast Castle – the old edifice is an historic site for foreigners especially Black Americans, he was convinced and knew the right things on how the slave trade was done. Weeks signed a special VIP guest book at the castle.
