Former Black Stars striker Matthew Amoah has impelled the Ghana Football Association (GFA) not to bow to the public pressure to appoint a local coach but rather consider a competent coach for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.

A six-member committee has been mandated by the Ghana FA to headhunt a suitable replacement for Avram Grant, who departed the role after the expiration of his contract last month.

And many pundits are calling on the Ghana FA to appoint a local trainer for the job, but former Black Stars and Dortmund poacher has urged the FA replace the Israeli with a competent over colour.

'Ghana need a good Coach whether Black,White,Green or yellow,we just need a good trainer to coach the boys because for me color does not matter,' Amoah told Starr FM.

'If we have a good coach who can lead and control the players for it will be fine.'
