Former Egypt international Nader Al-Sayed has admitted that his country has a lot of respect for Ghana but he is optimistic of his side's win against the West African side in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Pharaohs will battle the Black Stars in the second game in Group E of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers on November 13 at the 86,000 Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.

'Our next game against Ghana is an important game for a qualification so I hope we can win the game but I know we have respect for Ghana team,' Sayed told Hot FM. READ ALSO: Akwesi Appiah turned down Sudan National Team coaching job

'I think this game can go for 1-0 and it will go for Egypt, more than one goal will be difficult so it be a good game.'

On the Pharaohs' preparations ahead of next month' duel, the former Zamalek goal protector said:

'Preparations is fine. I think we have good preparations. We have new generation and I think we can go far. I think that we have a good chance to qualify for the World Cup but I think is not an easy group.

'Uganda drew 0-0 with Ghana and that is why we have to respect all the teams in the group and looking at everything I think Egypt and Ghana, one team is the favourite side to qualify for the World Cup,' he concluded.

Egypt currently top the Group with three points after beating Congo Brazzaville 2-1 in the first World Cup game in the Group, whilst Ghana and Uganda have one point each after both battling for a draw.

The last time Ghana played Egypt was two years ago when the Black Stars edged past (7-3 aggregate) the Egyptian to qualifier for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The retired shot stopper capped 110 times for the seven times African champions.
