Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has turned to Ghana national team's renowned horse placenta healer Marijana Kovacevic for treatment over the knee injury he suffered in the final of the Euro 2016.

The 31-year-old has invited the Serbian traditional healer from her Dubai base to meet him at an unknown location to treat him and secure his quick return to action.

The Real Madrid ace was forced off in the 25th minute of Portugal's Euro 2016 final victory over France on Sunday.

He suffered the injury following a hard tackle by Dimitri Payet and now Ronaldo wants to try Marijana's methods after hearing glowing reviews about her effective treatment from several players including Ghana stars.

Marijana is part of Ghana national side's medical team since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The Belgrade housewife, who has treated English Premier League stars such as Frank Lampard, Robin van Persie and Glen Johnson, has always been enlisted to help the Ghana medical team.

But Kovacevic keeps a low profile but has been strong with her treatment of players like Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew.

Her presence sped the recovery of injured Daniel Amartey who had a groin problem at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The centre-back felt a tear in his groin was stretchered off the pitch midway through their final Group C match against South Africa.

Her horse placenta treatment heals injured players quicker than stipulated time.

The Ghana FA first engaged Kavacevic during the 2010 World Cup under the recommendations of then-coach Milovan Rajevac.

She was with the team at the 2012 Nations Cup and also at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.
