E/R Division II Super Middle league kicks off on Nov. 21

Koforidua, Nov. 11, GNA - The Eastern Region Division Two Sub and Super Middle League kicks off on Sunday, November 21 at the Koforidua Sports Stadium.

The Regional Football Association has therefore requested all participating clubs to pay their affiliation fees of 950,000 cedis by Wednesday, November 17 to enable the Technical Committee of the RFA to come out with the fixtures for the tournament. The decision was arrived at during a meeting between representatives of the participating clubs and the Management Board of the RFA at Koforidua on Thursday.

12 clubs have qualified to participate in the tournament that includes Dendenden, Esberg Academy, Trax, Planet, Koftown Academy, Okyeman Youngsters, Royal Palace, Istanbul, Sanaa Academy, Fenhac Academy as well as two other clubs from the Afram Plains who are yet to be named.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the clubs would be divided into four zones made up of three clubs each for the sub-middle league and the winners of the zones would qualify for the super middle league. The eventual winner of the super middle league qualifies to represent the Eastern Region at the National Division One league. All the matches for the sub and super middle league would be played at the Koforidua Sports Stadium.
