Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed is set to play his first game in FOUR MONTHS for Kuban Krasnodar to effectively boost his chances of making Ghana's squad for the 2014 World Cup.

The 24-year-old was called to camp by coach Viktor Goncharenko for Sunday afternoon's match against Mubarak Wakaso's Rubin Kazan' after completing a personalized training program.

Rabiu could therefore be playing his first game for the Yellow-Greens since November when he last featured for the side in the 3-1 defeat to Amkar Perm'.

The former Evian TG man has struggled with niggle injuries since moving to Russia at the start of the season.

His extensive injury woes has kept him on the sidelines for close to FOUR MONTHS and threatened his place in the Ghana squad for the 2014 World Cup.

The tough-tackling midfielder could however be boosted if he manages to get precious game time in Sunday's away game against Rubin Kazan'.

Rabiu could therefore be lining up against his countryman Mubarak Wakaso who is also in search of regular club action with barely two months to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
