Accra Hearts of Oak have proposed an annual cup match with Liberty Professionals in memory of the late Alhaji Sly Tetteh, former president of Liberty who died a week ago.
A statement signed by Mr. Ashford Tettey-Oku, administrative manager of Hearts, said the move was to immortalise the memory of the late football administrator who contributed in diverse ways towards the cause of the club.
It recalled with fond memories the mutually beneficial relationship between Hearts and Liberty in which the latter released players to the Phobians, adding that 'it was with such collaboration that Liberty sacrificed their fortunes to release coach Cecil Jones Attuquayefio to handle Hearts to win several domestic and international honours including three CAF continental trophies.
It said: 'once the dust settles, we hope to engage you on possible ways of organising a fitting memorial in his honour',
Meanwhile, the club has expressed deep condolences to the entire Liberty Professionals establishment on the death of their former president who it described as visionary and inspirational.
It said the monumental loss of the 'genius of an administrator would be difficult to replace'.
