Barclays celebrates "Make A Difference" Day with school children

Mrs Henrietta Duho, Branch Manager, who made the presentation, said it formed part of activities to mark this year's "Make A Difference" (MAD) day of the bank.

Mrs Duho hoped the school's library would be stocked with the books, and advised the pupils to cultivate the habit of reading.

Mrs Duho and Mr Rockson Afetsrom, Branch Operations Manager later took the children through career development, guidance and counselling, and advised them to take their studies seriously.

At the Tema main branch of the bank at Community "1", officials marked the day with presentation of working tools worth GH¢3,000 to the Padmore Electoral Area and later also joined the people for a clean-up exercise.

The rest were 50 brooms, 30 ceiling brushes, 50 industrial hand gloves and 15 wheel barrows.

Mr Hudson Emmanuel Opoku-Mensah, Retail Manager of the bank, was of the hope that the donation would help ginger the people to undertake regular clean-up exercises to improve sanitation in the electoral area.
