Pimpong joined Masry last month Ghana international striker Razak Pimpong has impressed in his debut for Egyptian side Al Masry.

The Black Stars ace has penned an 18-month contract with the Egyptian Premier League side after they spent $200,000 to secure his transfer two weeks ago.

He came on as a substitute in the 70 th minute as they played out to a goalless dram in the game against Al Ittihad.

Pimpong used his pace to terrify defenders of Al Ittihad but failed to break the deadlock as his opponents found the strategy to contain him.

The Ghanaian is looking forward to more matches for his club, hoping it could precipitate his return to the national team.

Pimpong, who played for Vikings, struggled to get regular playing time at the club which resulted in his decision to leave the Norwegian club.

He was loaned out to rival club Alesund at the start of the season but he only played a bit-part role.

Pimpong played for Ghana at the 2006 World Cup in Germany but his inability to play regular football in Norway has cost him his national team place.

He can regain his place in the Black Stars if he impresses with the Egyptian clubs in continental club competition.
