The aspiring parliamentary candidate for the Takoradi constituency, Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, has organized a football match for selected teams in New-Takoradi, a suburb of Takoradi.
The purpose of the gala match was to promote unity among the teams, in the above-mentioned suburb. The teams, which took part in the gala match, included Apito, Alaga, Laspemos, Arab, Bafana, Mmofra-Mfaadwen and Alemosa among others.
At the end of the competition, Alamosa emerged victorious, beating Mmofra-Mfadwen by a goal to nil.
The winner took home a cash prize of GH¢150. Each team was also given an appearance fee of GH¢20.
