Two Ghanaian referees have been selected to officiate at the upcoming WAFU Zone B U17 Cup of Nations tournament.

The referees include Abdul Lateef Adaari and Emmanuel Dolagbanu.

“Two Ghanaian FIFA Referees, Abdul Lateef Adaari (Centre Referee) and Emmanuel Dolagbanu (Assistant Referee) have been nominated for WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations in Accra.

“The two Ghanaian referees are part of the officials for the biennial competition slated for Accra next month,” parts of a communiqué from the Ghana FA said on Tuesday.

The 2024 WAFU Zone b U-17 Cup of Nations is scheduled to be held in Accra from Wednesday, May 15 to Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

The tournament will feature host Ghana, defending Champions Nigeria, Cote D'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, and Niger.

The Black Starlets have been in camp preparing for weeks and will hope for a host-and-win.

The Starlets are currently in Russia for a four-nation tournament. That tournament will help the team prepare for the WAFU Zone B U17 Cup of Nations tournament.
