CAF Confederation Cup: Dreams FC hammer Academica 4-0 to go top of Group C

Dreams Football Club put on an impressive performance on Wednesday to cruise to a resounding 4-0 victory over Academica in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghanaian outfit hosted the team from Tanzania today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

In the game serving as the Round 4 contest of the group stages, Dreams FC played well in the first half and deservedly had a narrow lead at halftime courtesy of an equaliser from striker Agyenim Boateng Mensah.

After recess, the plan by Academic to stage a comeback was muddied when Saome Sukuakueche scored an own goal to double the lead for the hosts.

In the action that ensued after that incident, Dreams FC had total control of the game and scored two additional goals before full-time.

Goals from Aziz Issah and Tamko Nuhu sealed a delightful 4-0 win for the Ghanaian side to take the team to the top of the Group C standings.

Dreams FC now have 9 points after playing four games in the group stage of this season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
