‘Bring Back The Love’: Check how Madina MP jubilated after Ghana’s equaliser in Portugal game

World Cup Bring Back The Love: Check how Madina MP jubilated after Ghanas equaliser in Portugal game
NOV 25, 2022 LISTEN

Lawyer Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu, MP for Abokobi-Madina has displayed his love for Ghana's Black Stars.

Ghanaians seemed to have lost hope in the national soccer team in recent years, most likely following the 2014 World Cup bonus saga in Brazil and the poor performance at the African Cup of Nations.

Since then, the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youths and Sports have rallied full support and affection for the Black Stars under the slogan "Bring back the love."

When Ghanaians almost gave up after Portugal took the lead with a penalty kick by Cristiano Ronaldo, the team's captain, Dede Ayew, equalised.

Following the goal, the legislator jumped very high in an attempt to cheer Ghanaians, per a photo shared on his social media accounts with a caption, “God no go shame us, Walahi.”

In the game, the Black Stars of Ghana conceded their first goal in their first Group H game against the Portuguese on a spot kick by 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, a penalty many complain was a cheat to the African side.

Meanwhile, the captain of the Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew, got Ghana’s equaliser in the 73rd minute, a goal that sought to end Africa’s goalless record in this year’s tournament.

Unfortunately for the Black Stars, Jao Felix put Portugal in the lead with a goal he registered five minutes after Ghana’s equalizer, in the 78th minute, followed swiftly by a third goal from 23-year-old Rafael Leao in a very contentious attack.
