Kumasi Asante Kotoko's newly appointed Coach Telat Uzum arrived in the country last night to take over as head coach of the team until the end of the season.

The 43-year-old Turk takes over the job which was left vacant after E.K Afranie resigned two weeks ago. The coach is due in Kumasi and is expected to observe Kotoko's training this evening.

Though Telat will be on hand when Kotoko play their next Premier League match against Tano Bofoakwa on Sunday, he will not take charge of the team until he is outdoored on Monday.

Telat comes to the Kotoko job with very little coaching experience having been in charge once at Bani Yas Club in the UAE after becoming an assistant coach at Bayer Leverkusen and Besiktas.
Telat began his coaching career first as a footballer and between 1981 and 1993 played for German Clubs FC Cologne, Karlsruhe and Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
