Tema, Oct. 6, GNA-About 200 golfers would assemble at the Tema Country Golf Course from Thursday, October nine to Sunday, October 12 to vie for this year's Tema Open Golf Championship trophy.
Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the club told the golfers throughout the country.
He named them as Volta Aluminium Company Limited (VALCO), CAL Merchant Bank, Unique Trust Insurance Limited, Hullbryth Limited, KEK Insurance Limited and Glotech Engineering.
Mr Adablanu said the Professionals would begin the competition on Thursday, October nine, with the Amateurs taking their turn on Saturday, October 11.
Some of the golfers who had registered for the competition from Achimota Golf Club included Nick Smallman, John Sam, Lee Mensah, Yaw Assah-Sam and Samuel Adetola, Captainn of the club.
Tema, the host club would also have some players like John Cobbina,Eric Henaku, and Felix Owusu-Adjapong, with Florence Etwi-Barimah, Valentine Manteaw ,and Grace Komladzei battling for supremacy in the Ladies section.
Mr Joe Aggrey.,Deputy Minister for Youth Education and Sports is the special guest of honour for the much awaited event.
