Fun games at El Wak Stadium

This year's Frafra-Dagaaba Fun games will be held at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra on Saturday, September 14.

A spokesman for the Frafra-Dagaaba Community in Accra who announced this on Thursday, said the one-day games, are aimed at establishing good relationship between the two communities from the Northern Region.

Some of the games to be competed in are soccer, Tug-of-war, Sack-race, Ampe and Spoon and Lemon Race. The overall winner will receive a puppy.

Mr Peter Nanfuri, former Inspector-General of Police will lead the Dagaaba while Mr Alban Babgin leads the Frafra team.

The Dagaabas won the competition last year. Meanwhile, the 10th annual Mfantsipim-Adisadel Partnership Fun Day games will also be held at the El-Wak Sports Stadium on Saturday, September 21.

Mr Kwame Sekyi, National President of the Adisadel Old Boys Association said the one-day fun games which are aimed at fostering cordial relationship between the two schools in Cape Coast, would be sponsored by Accra Brewery Limited.

The two schools will make presentations to charity institutions in the Cape Coast Municipality in October to round off the celebration.
