Greater Accra Handball league

The Secretary General of the Ghana Handball Association Saka Acquaye has announced the league fixtures for the rest of the first round of the annual handball season after the innitial league matches had to be cancelled to enable the Handball Association to carry out adequate preparation before the commencement of the league.

The schedule for the rest of the league matches of the first round season are as follows;12th July Police vrs Navy at Burma Camp,17th July Police vrs HOSTAC at the Kaneshie Sports Complex, 18th July Navy vrs Prisons at Burma Camp, on the 20th July Police vrs Future at the Prisons Sports Complex, 25th July Prisons vrs Police at the Prisons Sports Complex, 26th July Fire Srevice vrs Navy at the Fire Academy, 31st July Police vrs Fire Service at the Kaneshie Sports Comlex. As part of efforts to enhance, encourage and promote Handball in Ghana, Mr.Acquaye called on all Sports Fans to endeavour to attend the league matches as a way of encouraging the budding sport to become a major sporting event in the country capable of winning medals and honours for the country at international games in the near future.

The rest of the matches are expected to keenly contested with thrilling performances from all the teams. Accoring to the Secretary General of Handball Association Mr. Acquaye, the core of the national Handball squad is always selected out the general performance of players during league matches, thus all seriousness and commitment must be attached to the game.

However, to ensure the smooth running of league macthes, all private bussinesses seeking to be affiliated with the game must contact the Handball Association of Ghana to be a part of the upliftment of the game in Ghana.
