Samuel Boadu has made history with Hearts of Oak after winning the MTN FA Cup title.

Hearts of Oak defeated AshantiGold SC on penalty shootout on Sunday t the Accra Sports Stadium after 120 minutes of entertaining football action.

Boadu led the club to end the club's 12 years Premier League trophy drought, finishing the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season with 61 points.

This means the Phobians have won a double for the first time in 21 years years.

The first time Hearts of Oak won a double was under the auspices of the late, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, who is a former head coach of the club.

Cecil won a double with the club in 2000.
Samuel Boadu joined the Phobans from Medeama SC prior to the start of the second half of the season.

The young gaffer after less than six months stay at the club has steered the club to win a double for the first in his career as well.

Hearts of Oak will represent the country in the 2021/22 Caf Champions League.
