Ghana Football Association [GFA] technical director, Bernhard Lippert has said he is yet to know the identity of Ghana football.

The German gaffer who replaced Francis Oti Akenteng last year has watched how the various national teams play.

After the Black Starlets failed to qualify for the U-17 African Cup of Nations, Lippert said the Black Starlets could not qualify for the tournament because they lacked real strikers at the WAFU Zone B tournament.

It is the second straight time Black Starlets have failed to qualify for the AFCON after missing out on the 2019 edition in Niger.

Speaking in an interview, he said, every national team where the players really get the structure to learn professional football after the national football philosophy of Ghana.

Asked whether he is bringing a different system, he said, “I don’t know," he exclusively told Asempa FM in an interview.

"I told you before that I have to make an assessment first and find out an identity.

"I don’t know your identity of your country. When I find out, I will see but for sure we need some changes.

"We can't keep playing like this but the identity will not in the next three months or the next year," he added.

As technical director of the Ghana Football Association, he will head the technical directorate and formulate guidelines, strategies and policies for the training and the technical development of coaches in Ghana.

Lippert has also watched the Black Stars in the last four matches played.

The German has been at the helm of affairs since October last year.
