Ghana and Esperance midfielder Kwame Bonsu is on the verge of completing a move to Egyptian Premier League newcomers Ceramica Cleopatra.

The Giza-based side recently gained promotion to the topflight after topping Group Two of the Second Division’s League one point ahead of Petrojet, who lost the chance for a return to topflight football.

Following their qualification to the top-flight, Cleopatra have been on the market to bring in players to improve the club.

They have already signed as many as 12 players including Ghana playmaker Winful Cobbinah from Albanian champions FK Tirana.

The club’s transfer policy ahead of the 2020/21 season has been to sign only three foreign players, as recently disclosed by Director of football Moataz Al-Battawi.

Over the past few weeks, there have been negotiations to sign box-to-box midfielder Kwame Bonsu who just completed his first season with Tunisian champions Esperance.

Bonsu, 26, was acquired from Asante Kotoko in a $150,000 deal with the Porcupines expected to receive a 30% share of any onward transfer.
