Football News CAS Ruling: Osei Kweku Palmer Fancies Chances Against GFA Ahead Of Tomorrow's Ruling
AUG 3, 2020 LISTEN

Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential candidate, Wilfred Kwaku Osei, who is seeking equity at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), has a high expectation of winning the case involving him and the GFA.

Ahead of the CAS verdict on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, Palmer hinted of victory in his latest post on Twitter.

The tweet read, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" - 2 Timothy 4:7 KJV #04/08/20 #GodHasTheFinalSay.

A win for Palmer is expected to lead to some reforms at the GFA as the result of the last FA presidential election could be declared null and void to pave the way for fresh elections to be held, while the 10 per cent paid for International Transfer Certificate (ITC) by clubs might also be cancelled.

For the past months, Palmer has been seeking justice at CAS after he was disqualified from the 2019 GFA Presidential elections, describing his disqualification as ‘unfair’.

The former GFA Executive Committee member was disqualified on two grounds: One for his failure to pay the 10 per cent mandatory fee to the GFA following the transfer of his player Joseph Paintsil to Belgian side, KRC Genk.
