English forward of Ghanaian descent, Callum Hudson-Odoi played a cameo role for Chelsea FC on Sunday evening as they defeated Manchester United to progress to the final of the English FA Cup.

The two giants of English football locked horns at the Wembley Stadium today in a highly-anticipated fixture in the semi-finals of this season’s FA Cup competition.

Having lost three times already to the Red Devils this season, the Blues set up strong and compact at the back in order to avoid another defeat.

Following a good display at the end of the first half, Frank Lampard’s men found their noses in front courtesy a strike from Olivier Giroud in added time after connecting to an inviting cross from skipper Cesar Azpilicueta.

Right after returning from the break for the second half, youngster Mason Mount scored to double the lead for Chelsea with an effort that many felt goalkeeper David De Gea should have saved.

Later on the 74th minute, a Harry Maguire own goal put the game to bed for the Blues even though Bruno Fernandes will net a consolation for Manchester United on the 86th minute.

On the matchday, Callum Hudson-Odoi was introduced for the final 10 minutes of the game as he replaced the hardworking William.

The youngster combined with Tammy Abraham in the final minutes of the game but his effort from close range flew well over the crossbar.

It will however not matter at the end of the game with his Chelsea outfit knocking out Manchester United to qualify for the finals of the English FA Cup.

The side will now face London rivals Arsenal for the ultimate prize of the competition next month.
