The Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Yaw Buabeng Asamoah has called on all Ghanaians to exercise patience as they construct all road networks in the country.

According to him, all the necessary steps had been taken for works to commence on the poor road networks across the country so Ghanaians should be a bit patient with the government in their quest to fix major roads across the country.

He explained that” if the NDC is urging Ghanaians to rise against the bad nature of our road sector then they must rewrite their Green book as it was a secret to the Ghanaian public.”

He said it is very sad to hear the NDC complaining that there are no roads in the country saying the Nana Addo led government has disappointed Ghanaians because they have failed to adhere to their promises.

Addressing the media, he said the NDC should bow their heads in shame if they complain about the nature of roads in the country after they told Ghanaians that they have constructed all roads.

According to him, the government wanted ‘value for money’ road projects, for which reason it would ensure that contractors engaged would do ‘professional’ work so that the roads would last longer.

Lawyer Yaw Buabeng Asamoah said gone were the days when contractors did shoddy work and the state lost a lot of money in the process, adding that his ministry would at all times demand quality work from contractors.

He also urged the NDC to stop worrying themselves about the issues of trying to tag the NPP and Nana Also with Corruption as they will never succeed and think about how to structure their party which lucks ideas to the extent of soliciting ideas from the public who they did not regard.
