Parents have been advised to stop fighting teachers for punishing their wards but use appropriate means to address their concern.

The District Chief Executive of Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti region Hon. Okyere Tawiah, gave this advice when he visited some basic schools within the district on my first day at school yesterday.

Public schools have resumed with students and pupils promoted to the next class.

The term also enroll new children into school to starts their academic career from nursery and KG.

Most MMDCEs on this days visits schools to welcome these new students into the school.

The DCE for Atwima Kwawonma Hon. Okyere Tawiah and the District Educator tour some schools within the district.

The schools included Kentinkyere D/A JSS, Konkori Methodist KG A and B, Twimdurase D/A and M/A school.

The assembly presented learning materials such as exercise books, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, clarion and school uniforms.

Hon. Tawiah said the gestures is to encourage children's who have been moved into new academic environment, to learn which forms part of government commitment to provide free and accessible education to all.

Mr Victor deGraft-Ertsison, the education director says the moves geared towards removing barriers facing education within the district.

He said, despite government efforts to bring free education some parents can't still afford buying of uniforms hence the gesture.
