The recent increasing rate of crime in the country have been attributed to parents inability to take proper care of their children.

The police have also been blamed for putting whistleblowers through hurdles, hence deterring the public from giving out information to assist in dealing with crime.

Mr. Yaw Atuah, a Senior Citizen, speaking to Bryt FM news, accused most parents of not having much time for their children due to the struggle for the worth.

According to him, the time has come for parents as well as guardians to take up full responsibility of nurturing their children the right way to ensure they are prepared well enough for the future.

On the issue of xenophobic attack in South Africa, Mr. Atuah condemned the act urging African leaders to take up the challenge of resolving the issue.

He also advised Ghanaians to be patriotic and willing to take up business opportunities available in the country, rather than always having the perception of traveling abroad to better their lives.
