Julius Eho, 23, unemployed and Kwamla Ahunda, 27, a truck-pusher, who were standing trial for stealing and disturbance of court, were being escorted by a policewoman, Constable Ophelia Hormey. Constable Hormey, wearing a pair of jeans trousers and a shirt with bare feet and sweating profusely, together with a crowd of her sympathizers, held onto Ahunda after they were apprehended. She also showed appreciation with a token of cash to those who helped in apprehending the escapees.
Briefing the GNA, Mr Lawrence Hiagbe, a Court Clerk, said he saw the suspects signal each other while he was making the necessary entries for their remand. "Before I could say jack, they made a quick dash out of the court room."
