Techiman, Jan 17, GNA - Mrs Vida Ofosu Tabiri, the Headmistress of Kromo Presbyterian 'A' Primary School in Techiman, has said some miscreants have turned the school compound into a place of convenience. Mrs Tabiri told Ghana News Agency in an interview that "every morning we come in to find human excreta littered in the classrooms, on teachers' tables and blackboards and we waste at least two hours every morning to scrub and clean up".

She said other items found on the compound were used condoms and pieces of smoked Indian hemp.

The Headmistress said these dastardly acts were committed whenever record dances were held at the near-by Community Centre and called on the security services and the municipal assembly to help stop the practice.

Mrs Tabiri said there had been three robbery attempts in the school with those involved in a recent one taking away some stationery and other educational materials.

She appealed to the authorities and citizens of Tunsuase electoral area to help save the school from further "desecration".
