Nkoranza (B/A), Dec 10, GNA - the Nkoranza Traditional Council has commended the District Director of Education, Mr Kwabena Agyemang-Badu, for his contributions towards the promotion of education in the district.
Okatakyie Agyemang Kudom, Omanhene of Nkoranza and President of Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs, presented a citation to Mr Agyemang-Badu at a durbar of chiefs and the people to mark their Munufie Kese Yam festival at Nkoranza. Otumfuo Osei Tutu 11, the Asantehene, attended the durbar at which an education endowment fund was launched. The citation stated that the people of Nkoranza have seen the immense contributions Mr Agyemang-Badu had made towards the promotion of education in the area.
The traditional council said it had realized teachers in the communities had redoubled efforts while parents had shown interest in the education of their children. Mr Agyemang-Badu commended Okatakyie Agyemang Kudom and the people for acknowledging his efforts.
