On Thursday at dawn, residents woke up to witness a similar incident where a beggar who uses the market as his sleeping place was also found dead in a similar manner with the mystery stone on top of his head.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency the-officer in charge of Bawku police station, Chief Inspector Mohammed Osman, maintained that all the cases were being regarded as isolated ones till investigations on the alleged ritual could be ascertained.

He said no parts of the deceased were missing and ruled out any claims of ritual purposes, adding that they were trying to find out how the stone could move from place to another to commit the same crime.

He assured the public not to entertain any fear since the police were working around the clock to arrest the perpetrators but to go on with their usual law-abiding activities. Meanwhile the bodies of the two have been buried whilst the stone had been deposited at the police station.
