Bishop Want Ghanaians to begin the year with nationalism spirit

Bishop of the Effiduase Diocese of the Methodist Church, Right Reverend Robert Eshun has called on Ghanaians to demonstrate high sense of nationalism in 2019.

He said no nation can develop if its citizens do not have positive attitude and commitment to national development agenda.

Addressing a watchnight service to usher in the New Year, Bishop Eshun said love, loyalty, right attitudes, discipline and hard work devoid of corruption, should be the hallmark of every citizen.

He urged the youth to stay away from drug abuse and commit their strength to the development cause of the nation, since every nation depended on the strength of its youth to develop and progress.

He also called on the government to strengthen efforts at enhancing the development of the economy in spite of the various challenges.

Bishop Eshun called for continuous constructive criticisms from the opposition parties to aid government to stay on course in pursuing the national development agenda.

Very Reverend Joseph Kojo Galley, the Superintendent Minister of the Effiduase Circuit of the church, appealed to all especially, Christians to live and demonstrate a 'Christ-like' lifestyle as the year begins in order to foster peace, harmony and development of the nation.

Reverend Daniel Gyasi-Nimakoh, Second Minister of the Circuit, said there is the need for a change of mind-set and attitude of all Ghanaians, not only to promote their personal development, but sustainable development and prosperity of the country as well.
