Ridmut Consult is organizing the Second edition of the Ghana Transport and Logistics Conference 2018 starting from the Wednesday 20th to Thursday 21stJune, 2018 at the British Council, Accra.

The conference is considered as one of the most influential conferences in the transport and logistics sector as it seeks to create a synergy and strengthen the collaboration between the Public-Private sector in the transport and logistics industry.

It also aimed at bringing together different perspectives on leveraging private and public sector dialogue for sustainable development by engaging key stakeholders to deliberate on economic development issues in a non-partisan manner, as well as discuss issues of inclusive industrial development and tackling challenges through the conference.

The event is in collaboration with the Ministries of Aviation and Transport in collaboration with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, Ghana Airports Company and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana and other industry partners.

The seminar/workshop would consist of three sessions. The first session will consist of presentations on the transport and logistics situation in Ghana. The intention of this session is to give the participants the current picture of transportation value chain and demand in the country.

The second session will present the policies and strategies that are being implemented by the government in the non-conventional transport and logistics sector, interventions and support schemes.

Panelists who are experts in their own fields (such as Aviation, Road and Maritime Transportation planning, project implementation, etc.) would be invited to react and give their views on the presentations made. This is intended to ensure a wider and deeper deliberation of the topics presented from different perspectives.

The third session will be the form of a workshop and involved open discussion of issues and problems besetting the transport and logistics sector. The aimed is to help propose certain recommendations that would contribute towards the realization the of the government’s vision and objective of the establish Ghana as a Transportation Hub for the West African Sub-Region.

Hon. Yaw Osafo Marfo, Senior Minister of the Republic of Ghana would be the Special Guest of Honour, Mr. Paul Asare Ansah, Director General Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority will deliver the Keynote Address, Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, Minister of Transport, Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah, Minister for Aviation will also address the conference.

The event would also attract key and important personalities such as Mr. John Attafuah Managing Director Ghana Airports Company, Mr. Ebo Hammond President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana, Mr. Alwin Hoegerle the Chief Executive Officer of GCNET, Mr. Stanley Ahorlu CEO of Prime Meridian Docks Limited, Mr. Kwasi Busia CEO of DVLA, Dr. M.C Vasnani CEO of Conship, Mr. Seth Effah CEO of Kanshipp Ghana, Dr. Daniel McKorley the Chief Executive Officer of the Mcdan Group, Mr. Jacob Gbati CEO of Global Cargo and Commodities Limited and Mr. Hilton John Mitchell CEO of Jonmoore International.

The two-day event is proudly sponsored by the Ministry of Aviation and Transport Ministry, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana, Consolidated Shipping Agencies Limited (Conship), Westblue Consulting Limited, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, Kanshipp Ghana Limited and the Ghana Community Network Services Limited (GCNet).
