Despite his defeat in the just ended New Patriotic Party Regional Executive Elections, one of the Regional Organizer aspirants Charles Ndanbon Taleog, has fulfilled his promise to the Constituencies he promised to help in the construction of their offices.

He had promised to help Constituencies that do not have Party Offices in the region, with five trips of Sand as his contribution towards the building of their offices, whether he becomes the Regional Organizer or not. He also promised that, if he becomes the Regional Organizer of the Party, he will give each of these Constituencies 25 bags of Cement.

All the beneficiary Constituencies have confirmed to the Daily Guide that, indeed the ‘disappointed’ Regional Organizer, Charles Ndanbon Taleog has fulfilled his promise of five trips of sand, as his contribution to the building of their office projects.

The Constituencies include, Chiana-Paga, Navrongo, Bawku Central, Bolgatanga-East, Bongo, Talensi and Pusiga.

Talensi Constituency Chairman, Kojo Denzee Atiah told the Daily Guide that Charles Ndanbon has left an example that others will have to follow in future.

“He promised to give us five trips of sand whether he wins or not, and that one he has given us. He also promised that, if he becomes the Regional Organizer, he will add 25 bags of Cement as his contribution to the building of our office. He did not win, so we can’t demand for that.

As for the sand, we would have asked him to bring if he had failed to fulfill, because, he promised that, whether he becomes the Organizer or not, he will provide. He has done well and we are calling on others who promised or have the Party at heart, to come and help us build our Party office.” The Talensi Chairman said.

Prior to the Saturday April 21 Regional Executives election, Charles Ndanbon Taleog was the most visible and loud among all aspirants and was highly tipped to become the Regional Organizer of the New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region.

Charles Ndanbon Taleog polled a total of 100 votes out of 300 votes, while the incumbent Jerry Asamani was retained with as the Upper East Regional Organizer, with 107 votes.

When contacted, the ‘disappointed’ Regional Organizer and business man, Charles Ndanbon Taleog, said he had to do that to encourage the Constituencies without office to take steps to have offices.

“During our campaign, we had to sit outside for our meetings and that was bad and that is why I made that promise. I have fulfilled my promise because I checked my strength before making the promise. We have to build the Party together so that we can all be proud of it.” He said.

Charles Ndanbon has called for support for the new Regional Executives and asked the Regional Executives to also encourage Party members and functionaries to get closer to the Party to contribute their quota to its development.
