She said on Thursday, July 21, at about 0900 hours, Mensah invited the deceased to a farm at Konkokrom, near Acherensua to collect cassava to sell in order to raise money to send their three-year-old child, who was sick to the hospital.

Madam Kenyo said the deceased did not return home till about 1630 hours, when some people informed her that the suspect had reported to the police that he had murdered Kenyo on the farm.

According to an eyewitness, the suspect led the police and some people from Acherensua to the farm, where the incident took place and saw the deceased strangled to death.

The police at Acherensua have confirmed the story but said the suspect was in custody at Kenyasi, pending investigations. Patience left behind two children; a boy and a girl aged eight and three years.
