Requisite skills, honesty and good leadership have been identified as the greatest developmental needs of the country.

It was observed that the country would develop if political leaders would stop giving false hopes to the people but rather work for the betterment of the people.

These sentiments were shared at a forum aimed at educating entrepreneurs in Ghana held on in Tamale on Thursday.

The chapter director of Startup Grind Tamale, Mubarak Sulemana said the forum formed part of 200 events undertaken by the organization to educate, connect and inspire entrepreneurs across the globe

The Chief Executive Officer of Public Speaking and Entrepreneurial Institute, Ibrahim Mustapha said graduates should stop putting out curriculum vitaes to companies but look for ways to establish their own businesses.

He also they should stop lamenting over capital but rather have feasible ideas so that people would assist them with capital.

A resource person at the forum, Adu Poku Richard said people should stop trying to establish their own businesses because they can't find jobs.

"People should do away with the narrative that there are no jobs so I am going to establish my own business ". He said.

He said they should rather build their skills and assess themselves to know whether they are qualified for the existing opportunities in the country or not.

According to him "the best entrepreneurs are people who are demanded by corporate entities but just forget of them to establish their own businesses ".

The branch manager of Guranteee Trust Bank, Haruna Jabir also advised the participants to take the risk to establish their own businesses and register them.

He admonished the participants to be confident and believe in themselves about what they want to do.

Mr Haruna further urged entrepreneurs to develop tenacity to withstand challenges in their businesses.

He however, emphasised that the participants should "see their ideas materialised in a way that leads to the benefit of your societies".

The forum which was organised on the theme " The Grand Grind " brought together students, prospective employers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders for a day of sharing and networking.
