Mamprobi Poly Clinic Receives Support From MP

Dr Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South an Automated External Defibrillator to the Mamprobi Poly Clinic in Accra.

The equipment is a portable device used to diagnose life threatening cardiovascular cases in patients for effective treatment.

Dr Vanderpuije in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after the presentation said the donation is part of his efforts to reach out to the needy in the constituency and beyond.

He said the lack of medical devices in most hospitals needed to save the lives motivated him to acquire the equipment for the Poly Clinic.

He promised to visit of the hospital from time to time to assess their needs and to support them.

Dr Challotte Cato, a Physician Specialist at the Poly Clinic, who received the device, said she was grateful for the gesture and thanked the MP for the donation.

She said the Poly Clinic was in key location and offers health delivery services to greater number of the surrounding population in the constituency and that the intervention was timely.
