Agona East MP Donates To Basic Schools

The woman who has been likened to the perfect, sculpted beauty of a carved eagle, and whose popularity would be the envy of proverbial traveller-to-distant-places, Hon Obaatanpa Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyer caused a great stir and received overwhelming cheers from the chiefs, clergies, teachers and pupils of Oketsew Basic school when she arrived to hand over a fully- installed computer van ( mobile laboratory) to schools that are deprived of ICT tools and were unable to sit for ICT in the last BECE.

The schools include; Agona Kwesikum AEDA, Gyasikro, Oketsew,Nkran Asarekwaa and others .

Obaatanpa's vision to equip schools with basic tools to realise their potentials is not only for children to excel in ICT in external exams but also to become unique human assets to fit into modern -day 21st century market demands. One cannot also measure the joy, type of dances capered and stamped, filling the air with dust from the crowds at the event. Not forgetting a special song composed instantly by the kids entitled , "Obaatanpa eee Y3n Y3 Wo den nyi , Wo y3 bue` "- it was deafening shout of welcome.

Obaatanpa also arranged for 200 dual desks and fixed the doors of Oketsew classrooms after noticing some children had been sitting on stones during teaching and learning for sometime now .

As has been the case on all occasions, she set the record straight about the uniqueness of the NDC and convincingly touched the heart of the people to vote NDC back to power to even engage in more lifeline interventions for them.

In deed, Obaatanpa Maame Pokuah Sawyerr stands out and is a true servant.
