Juaso (Ash), Sept 22, GNA - A trader arrested for stealing a motorbike has been sentenced to 24 months imprisonment by the Juaso Circuit Court.
Emmanuel Atta was given the punishment after he pleaded guilty to the offence.
Police Detective Chief Inspector Birikorang Peasah, told the court, presided over by Mr. Yusif Assibey, that the crime was committed on Wednesday, September 06, at Odumase in the Asante-Akim Central Municipality.
The owner had parked it in front of his house and gone to bed only to find to his shock the next morning that it was missing.
The prosecution said the convict was arrested following a tip-off by a mechanic, he had engaged to get some broken parts fixed.
Atta was seized together with the motorbike and handed over to the police.
